COCLIME or Menopause and Osteoporosis
Center has the most advanced technology and devices to
diagnose and treat women's menopause afflictions. The
center's osteodensitometer evaluates the Bone Mineral
Density (BMD), through a study of X Ray Double Photon
Absortion (DEXA), which is the preferred method for measuring
the bone mineral content due to its precision and sensitiveness.
It is an excellent indicator of the patient's skeleton
state with which we can determine the exact risk of fracture.
With this information, the corresponding measures can
be taken to prevent fractures and improve the bones'
quality.
This method is considered non-invasive, being that the radiation received by
the patient is 1/50th of that received when given a simple toraxic X Ray study.
